FAQ section

Are You Wondering?

Here are some frequently asked questions (and answers)

If I have no experience in watercolor, will I be able to do this?

Yes! I’ve taught a variety of students – some of whom have never painted before, and they have had great success!   The demonstration videos are designed for you to follow along and paint with the demo.  You can stop the video at any time or go back whenever you wish.  You progress at your own speed!  You’ll also find tips and explanations along the way to help.  I think its helpful to  make several paintings of each, which will help you perfect your skills and understanding of the methods.

One more thing!  Watercolor painting is fun!  Enjoy the process rather than being too focused on the outcome.  The more you practice, skills will become easy to master.  And the more you practice, the more you’ll intuitively know what your materials can do!

Before you know it, you’ll be creating beautiful paintings because you’ll understand the methods and how to use your materials.

I don't think I can draw the image, how will I put the image onto the watercolor paper?

You don’t need to be able to draw, although if you wish to you can.  I supply the traceable pattern to follow and show you how to transfer the image without needing drawing skills.

Can I sell my painting when I've finished it?

The image you are painting is one that I have created and therefore is not one that you can sell, due to copyright. But, you can give it as a gift or frame it for your own use!

You’ll also be developing the skills and knowledge you need to create your own original works and those can be offered for sale.

Is there a money back guarantee?

I’ve never had anyone ask for a refund, but yes.  If you decide this course is not for you within 7 days after you purchase, let me know by email and you will be refunded. However, I think once you start the course and follow the videos you’ll be pleased and amazed at what you are able to do!

How long will I have access to the course?

You will have full access to the course with it’s videos and all the downloadable materials for a whole year! That means you can revisit it as often as you wish.

What supplies will I need?

  • Paint:  Yarka, semi-moist watercolors (12 colors).  I like this brand because it is not costly and because the colors are beautiful and vibrant.

  • Watercolor paper – 140# cold or hot press. (You’ll see me using hot press paper which is smoother.) The size of the paintings in the videos is approx 5×7″, which is easily matted to fit an 8×10″ frame.  But you can easily change the size by enlarging the traceable.

  • A palette to mix colors.  This can be an inexpensive plastic palette (available in art supply stores), or something as simple as a paper plate (though I would use a paper plate without pattern or color and a brand that is coated so it does not absorb the paint.)

  • Brush or brushes.  The Yarka paints come with a round brush, which is sufficient. However, additional brushes are optional.

Other supplies you’ll have at home:

  • Water and a container for it

  • A small piece of tape

  • A colored pencil or pen

  • A graphite pencil (the darker the better)

  • Paper towel

When you open the course, you’ll find a supply list which has some easy links to follow to purchase supplies.
