Each module has 3 video demonstrations, instruction, reference photos and notes to download along with exercises to practice while you watch your skills increase. PLUS, a bonus video in each chapter that enlarges the lessons of that chapter and gives insights into artists of note.6 to 7 pages of instructional notes to download in each chapter that enhances the video lessons.

Each chapter builds upon the one before it, teaching the skills and giving you exercises and practice throughout to hone and develop life-long skills in drawing.
Chapter 1 - Drawing Contours and Shapres
Observation is foundational to drawing. We focus on how to observe and record what we observe rather than what we think we already know. Demonstrations and exercises will show you how!
Chapter 2 - Shapes, Spaces and Proper Placements
Your accuracy in drawing will increase from learning how to place objects in space correctly. Included are demonstrations and exercises as we work with both positive and negative space shapes.
Chapter 3 - Light and Shadow
This is a fun part where drawings get "real"! With learning to shade your drawings correctly, the 2 dimensional objects on the paper's surface now have the illusion of 3 dimensions! Shading techniques from hatching and cross hatching to tonal shading are demonstrated and taught.
Chapter 4 - Even MORE with Realistic Shading
This chapter takes shading deeper, learning how to shade reflective surfaces and complex shapes. Demonstrations and clear instruction will lead you through these more advanced ways of drawing.
Chapter 5 - A Realistic Graphite Drawing from Start to Finish
Artist's often work from photographs as well as from life. In this chapter, working with a photograph, we'll learn exactly how to accurately transfer the image to drawing paper. We'll also learn the elements of a great composition. And there's a full demonstration with a reference photo to use to create a beautiful realistic drawing of your own.
By learning what this course teaches through the 5 chapters, you will have skills to take you through a life-long joy of drawing.
With a low-stress, fun approach to drawing, you’ll learn about line drawing and how to build accuracy in your work, how to use shapes and spaces to your advantage, how to see and portray light and shadow to make an object come to life, how to transfer a photo image accurately, and how exciting it is to make a 3 dimensional image rise out of a 2 dimensional surface!

What supplies will I need?
The supply list is pretty simple, and you may already have what you need!
I recommend the following:
Sketchbook (8.5 x 11″)
12 pencil set of drawing pencils
Kneaded eraser
Pink pearl eraser
Bristol drawing paper
Ruler (12″)
Optional but recommended:
Blenders and sander
Gray scale & value finder
How is the course delivered?
Each module has multiple parts. It’s highly recommended that you take your time with each to watch the videos, draw along with them, download the materials, and complete the practices that are given with each lesson within the module.
You will have plenty of time to develop your skills with full access to the course for a whole year from purchase.
Drawing takes some practice, so it’s important to take time to practice the content of each module readying you for the new material in the coming one.

but it also has great content for those who are further advanced in their skills.
All that’s really needed is a desire to learn and a willingness to put aside self-doubt! From my years of teaching artists, I know that everyone who wants to is capable of learning and advancing their skills and confidence… all while having fun!

How long will I have access to this course?
You'll have full access for a year, which is plenty of time to finish the course.
I suggest creating a regular plan to watch the demos and practice so that your progress continues to encourage you as you keep going.
